Doosan’s first-round draft pick Kim Dae-hyun has finally cracked the egg and woken up.
The Doosan Bears won the seventh game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against the Hanwha Eagles 4-1 on 6 June at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. With the result, the Bears snapped a two-game losing streak with a sweep of the three-game series and improved to 25 wins, one loss and 24 draws on the season.
Kim Dae-hyun started in the No. 2 spot in right field and went 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI in the win. The home run came in her second at-bat.먹튀검증
With the score 2-1 in the top of the third inning, Jung Soo-bin led off with a single to left and failed to steal second base, but Kim Dae-hyun, who was at the plate, hit a solo home run. In the 1B-1S, Jang Min-jae took a three-pitch splitter (125km) for his season’s grand slam to widen the gap. It was his first green arch in 241 days since 8 October last year against Jamsil Kiwoom.
After the game, Kim said, “I didn’t expect it to go over the fence. I was playing hard and was surprised to see the home run sign.” “It was my second home run at home, but I think it was more exciting to hit it in front of the Doosan Bears fans. I’m not a home run hitter, but I’m happy to show my good form in front of the home fans,” he smiled.
After rehabbing from a finger injury sustained in an exhibition game, Kim returned to the first team on the 31st of last month. After five games, he hit his first home run of the season and gave a glimpse into his future. The 2019 first round pick of Doosan is an outfield prospect the club has high hopes for.
“I don’t have a good feeling yet. The coach advised me to relax and find my groove, so I’m taking the pressure off. So I’m getting better and better,” he said, promising to do better.
