The Philadelphia Phillies, 바카라who had extended their contract with Serantoni Dominguez, succeeded in extending it with Jose Alvarado as well.

Philadelphia announced the news of the extension of the contract with Alvarado through the official website on the 17th (Korean time). With this deal, Alvarado will remain with the team until the 2025 season, including a team option for the 2026 season. His contract was reportedly valued at $22 million. Alvarado’s contract delayed his free agency for another two years.

Alvarado, a native of Venezuela, made his major league debut in 2017 with the Tampa Bay Rays. He had a career record of 13-18 with a 3.57 ERA, 86 holds, 22 saves and 81 strikeouts.

He joined Philadelphia from the 2021 season, and with last year’s record of 4 wins, 2 losses, ERA 3.18, 22 holds, 2 saves and 81 strikeouts, he faithfully played the role of a winning group.

After announcing the deal, Alvarado said: “I love Philadelphia and I want to stay here. I want the season to start quickly,” he said without hiding his joy.

Philadelphia signed extensions to Dominguez and Alvarado this offseason, and significantly strengthened its bullpen with the acquisitions of Gregory Soto, Craig Kimbrel and Matt Strahm.
