Men’s professional volleyball KEPCO continued its three-game winning streak, reviving hopes for spring volleyball. Overcoming the Korean Air jinx was also a great harvest.

KEPCO won with a set score of 3-1 (13-25 25-22 25-23 25-18) in the home game against Korean Air in the 5th round of the Dodram 2022-2023 V-League Men’s Division held at Incheon Gyeyang Gymnasium on the 2nd.

KEPCO succeeded in chasing Woori Card (39 points) and OK Financial Group (37 points) in 3rd place with a season record of 11 wins and 14 losses and 35 points. In addition, he broke away from the swamp of 4 consecutive losses against Korean Air this season and gave his natural enemy the pain of his first consecutive loss of the season.

Jupo Tais was responsible for the team’s most points of 19 and celebrated the 4th round MVP award. Domestic players such as Seo Jae-deok 15 points and Lim Seong-jin 13 points also did their part and decorated the first game of the 5th round with a victory.

KEPCO coach Kwon Young-min burned his will to the players before the game, saying, “It’s time to beat Korean Air once.” Even in a pre-official interview, he expressed his will not to back down easily with the same words.

But he didn’t get off to a good start. They lost the first set 13-25 to Korean Air, passing the early flow to their opponent. For KEPCO, the nightmare of the previous four defeats had no choice but to come to mind.

Coach Kwon moved the players’ hearts here. Before the 2nd set, “The players seemed to stiffen at the thought that they had to beat Korean Air,” he said.  메이저사이트

He emphasized that he has no intention of giving up on competing for the postseason. In the remaining games of the 5th and 6th rounds, it was in a situation where it was possible to aim for 3rd place, so I threw a vote to go up to a higher place by driving the recent momentum.

Coach Kwon said, “With the will to overcome difficulties somehow during the 9th consecutive loss, winning 4 times with 1 point each despite a full set loss is a great strength now.” I said, but I think the players did a good job, thank you.”
