The NC Dinos’ cruising sails have turned red. Eric Peddie, the league’s top foreign ace, has been sidelined due to injury.

“Pedi was removed from the first team roster on Thursday due to right forearm discomfort,” NC officials announced the same day.

Pedi, who was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 2014 draft, made his Major League Baseball debut in the 2017 season and played until last year. In his big league career, he has a 21-33 record with a 5.41 ERA in 102 games (454.1 innings).

Pedi, who signed with NC before the season, was literally conquering the KBO this year, going 10-1 with a 1.74 ERA in 12 games (72.1 innings pitched), tying the KBO record for fewest games in a season. Only Kim Il-yung (Samsung Lions) in 1985 and Jung Min-chul (Binggrae Eagles) in 1993 had previously accumulated 10 wins in 12 games.먹튀검증

Pedi’s departure is a big blow for NC. With Pedi at the center of the starting lineup, NC has been able to post a 31-25 record (with 14 games remaining) despite a number of injuries.

For now, NC plans to call up Shin Min-hyuk to fill the vacant 15th starter spot. Shin, who made his professional debut in the 2020 season, went 15-18 with a 4.66 ERA in 73 games (55 starts) until last year.

After going 3-2 with a 5.20 ERA in eight appearances (36.1 innings) this season, Shin was removed from the first team roster on March 24 for reassignment and has been working his way up through the Futures (second-tier) league until recently. In the Futures League, he is 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA in three appearances (13.1 innings).
