Gwangju FC, who have been on an unbeaten streak this season, will be looking for a double when they host Suwon Samsung.

Gwangju FC will host the Suwon Samsung Bluewings in the 17th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at the Gwangju Football Stadium on 7 July at 7pm.

The moods of the two teams are polar opposites. Gwangju have found their best form, most notably in the last round when they welcomed ‘nemesis’ Pohang Steelers to their stadium for a thrilling 4-2 win thanks to goals from Doo Hyun-seok, Uhm Ji-sung and Ahn Young-gyu, along with an own goal.

Three wins in a row and unbeaten in four matches, including the FA Cup. In addition, Gwangju’s hot streak continues as they were named the best team for the second consecutive round. With their confidence and mood soaring, Gwangju are determined to keep the momentum going with a win in their home series.토토사이트

Once again, the goals came from a variety of sources. From a corner kick, Asani’s sharp cross forced the opponent into a self-correction, while full-back Doo Hyun-seok’s aggressive overlapping and fantastic winding kick put the game out of reach. The team’s ace Uhm Ji-sung also broke his long silence to score a goal, boosting confidence, while captain Ahn Young-gyu has been on fire in the last three games with two goals and an assist from set pieces alone.

The same goes for the defence. Timo has been solid in defence alongside Ahn Young-gyu, while the midfield of Lee Sun-min and Jung Ho-yeon have been active and diligent in defence.

Their opponent, Suwon, is a traditional powerhouse in the K League and has a top-notch squad. In addition to veteran Yeom Ki-hoon, they have a number of outstanding players in attack, including Kim Bo-kyung, Lee Ki-je, Ahn Byung-joon, Jung Seung-won, Ko Seung-beom, and Choi Sung-geun. However, despite their reputation, Suwon are currently in a bit of a slump. With two wins, two draws and 12 defeats, they have lost three in a row and have been unable to climb out of the bottom of the table. Gwangju won their opening game of the season.

Against a low-confidence Suwon side, Gwangju will be looking to press hard from the start and push for a goal. However, they must not let their guard down. Suwon Samsung can raise their game at any moment.

It will be interesting to see if Lee Jung-hyo’s tactics will work against Suwon and if Gwangju can make it four wins in a row.
