Korea was led by Jung Ho-young (10 points) and Pyo Seung-joo (9 points), but it wasn’t enough to prevent the loss. The Koreans were outplayed in height and were outblocked 5-14.
Korea looked to be in control in the first set, taking a 23-20 lead behind the offense of Jung Ho-young and Pyo Seung-joo. However, five consecutive errors in the final minutes of the set cost them the first set.
Korea lost the second set due to a lack of backbone, and a depleted Korea was swept in the third set.
